<p>Job Title: CAD Designer</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>Join a leading global manufacturer and supplier of lighting products and safety systems for a variety of vehicles and industries, including agriculture, mining, forestry, construction, emergency/rescue, municipal, recreational, and military. As a CAD Designer/Drafter, you will play a crucial role in updating and maintaining product catalogs using cutting-edge design software.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Focus on the existing backlog of work while the full-time team handles new program launches. </li><li>Work on existing drawing designs and make necessary edits to the product catalog. </li><li>Utilize Creo 7 for design work, with a transition to Creo 10 anticipated. </li><li>Collaborate with other designers/drafters, mechanical engineers, and internal teams. </li><li>Attend design team meetings and adhere to project schedules. </li><li>Engage in design communication with the internal model shop/team. </li><li>Work independently while seeking assistance when needed. </li><li>Use Windchill PLM software for managing digital product development data. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>2+ years of experience in a manufacturing product design role OR Bachelors/Associates of Engineering </li><li>Proficiency in design and drafting using Creo or Solidworks software. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>If No Degree, 3+ years of Creo experience required. </li><li>Experience with Windchill PLM software. </li><li>Familiarity with Catia or NX software. </li><li>Experience designing fixtures, particularly related to headlamps. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>This is a fully on-site position within an office/cubicle environment. The offices have a slightly older style but are comfortable. The role requires a standard work schedule of Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, with minimal overtime.
