These are typically 8-hour shifts.</p> </li><li> <p>Typical rotation: 4 - 5 weeks day shift, followed by one week on each back shift.</p> </li></ul> <p>Primary Role</p> <p>The Machinist will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and safety of the mill by repairing and producing spare parts and other wearable components for use across the site.</p> <ul> <li> <p>Set up and operate manual and CNC equipment including lathes, milling machines, boring mill, 5 axis mill and related machinery.</p> </li><li> <p>Program CNC equipment using CAD/CAM (fusion360) as well as DOOSAN EZ Guide</p> </li><li> <p>Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.</p> </li><li> <p>Analyze specifications and determine machining methods, tooling requirements, and sequence of operations.</p> </li><li> <p>Fabricate, modify, repair, and assemble tooling, fixtures, and machine components.</p> </li><li> <p>Evaluate standard tooling and determine necessary modifications or improvements.</p> </li><li> <p>Develop tooling specifications from general descriptions and create sketches or drawings when required.</p> </li><li> <p>Apply knowledge of tool design, shop mathematics, and machining processes to meet production requirements.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on department equipment.</p> </li><li> <p>Operate forklifts or powered hand trucks as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Use precision measuring instruments (height gauges, micrometers, calipers, pi tapes, etc.) to ensure dimensional accuracy.</p> </li><li> <p>Inspect finished components to verify compliance with quality standards.</p> </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <ul> <li> <p>A resume outlining qualifications and experience must be submitted to be considered for this position.</p> </li><li> <p>High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school certification preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>3 years' experience as qualified Machinist.</p> </li><li> <p>CNC machine knowledge preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>G&M code knowledge preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to read mechanical drawings and schematics.</p> </li><li> <p>Familiarity with lockout/tagout and other OSHA safety standards.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.</p> </li></ul> <p>If you're ready to join a company that values its people, invests in its future, and leads the industry in innovation, then look no further and apply now as we grow our talent.
