<p>Position Summary</p> <p>Working Team Lead in designated value stream area. Optimize staffing within assigned value streams to achieve daily goals including productivity, quality, safety, customer delivery. Work with Value Stream Manager and Planning departments to assign work. Ensure that workers have appropriate training to perform tasks. Coordinate with appropriate departments regarding conflicts or issues that get in the way of achieving production goals.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Facilitate and support an engaged and empowered team environment, work to resolve conflict and enlist support from Production management as appropriate. Keep others informed, provide accurate and timely feedback, communicate clearly, listen and be receptive to feedback.</p> </li><li> <p>Work with Planning and Production Management to allocate personnel to work cells/stations in order to meet daily production goals. Monitor work cell performance and reallocate personnel as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Attend production meetings (Daily Run the Business), provide updated information on production progress as it pertains to production schedule, and communicate daily needs to assembly personnel.</p> </li><li> <p>Communicate daily production reports to Production Management and / or Planning, both at the end of the shift and as necessary throughout the shift.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure that Day by Hour and other production metrics are kept accurate and current; maintain information on Team Improvement Boards. May coordinate TIB meetings.</p> </li><li> <p>May ensure daily closure of completed jobs as appropriate and training of production employees to complete these transactions as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Generate ideas to enhance department performance and work with the necessary parties to implement.</p> </li><li> <p>Actively participate in and lead HPT Team meetings, follow escalation process and drive continuous improvements to resolve issues.</p> </li><li> <p>Work with team members to ensure quality standards are met, notify Technicians and/or Production management immediately of any issues.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure audits are completed on schedule and changeover standard work is followed. Resolve issues, provide status reports to Production management as appropriate, notify appropriate departments to identify and document deviations.</p> </li><li> <p>Submit scrap and accompanying paperwork daily.</p> </li><li> <p>Monitor SWIP levels and adherence to standard work, alert Value Stream Manager of any issues, suggestions or concerns.</p> </li><li> <p>Build and test product using various common hand tools and power assisted assembly tools.</p> </li><li> <p>Troubleshoot and rework products and subassemblies as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure all equipment on assembly lines is in good working order and all kits are stocked as necessary, including addressing any potential "stock-outs" for jobs.</p> </li><li> <p>Train Production personnel to ensure new and existing employees are adequately trained and all training is documented according to procedures.</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinate attendance requirements and absences with Production Management.</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Key Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Experience in a manufacturing environment a must.</p> </li><li> <p>High School Diploma or equivalent required.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience in Ergonomics and Behavior Based Safety a plus.</p> </li><li> <p>3+ years of applicable experience</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated ability to lead teams, facilitate meetings, present team results and influence others beyond the Production area.</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent written & verbal communication skills</p> </li><li> <p>Creative ability in insuring safety of employees and the work environment while meeting the needs of production.</p> </li><li> <p>Builds and leverages strong relationships beyond the Production area to accomplish team goals.</p> </li><li> <p>Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, & Excel</p> </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands & Working Conditions:</p> <ul> <li>Concentrated mental and visual attention with a high degree of manual dexterity and visual attention for sustained periods </li><li>Repetitive hand motions </li><li>Must be able to work in a typical manufacturing environment with exposure to oil, dust, dirt, heat fumes, cold, continuous noise, vibrations, etc. </li><li>Requires continuous physical activity such as walking, standing, lifting </li><li>Ability to wear all required personal protective equipment including earplugs, safety glasses, and steel-toed shoes </li></ul> <p>Parker Hannifin</p> <p>Parker Hannifin is a Fortune 250 global leader in motion and control technologies and systems.
