<p>Job Description:</p> <p>SUNY Cobleskill is seeking qualified, capable, and enthusiastic adjunct instructors to teach plant science courses. Courses may include, but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>AGSC 111X - Introduction to Soil Science Lab </li><li>AGRN 135 - Cannabis Management </li><li>AGRN 255 - Cannabis Harvest & Analysis </li><li>AGRN 351X - Cannabis Cultivation Lab </li></ul> <p>Full descriptions of the courses may be found here: https://www.cobleskill.edu/academics/registrar/College Catalog 2024-2025 for Web.pdf</p> <p>Requirements:</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Plant Science, Horticulture or Soil Science </li><li>Experience with soil science or cannabis production </li><li>Ability to lift 50 pounds and walk measurable distances </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Previous, successful college teaching experience </li><li>Laboratory teaching experience </li><li>Master's degree or higher in Plant Science, Soil Science, Cannabis/Hemp Production or similar </li></ul> <p>Additional Information:</p> <ul> <li>We currently have openings for the January 2025 (spring) semester and onward. </li><li>These courses will meet in-person and will utilize our on campus farm, which is just steps away from our classroom spaces </li><li>Courses run on a 15-week academic calendar </li><li>This position is part-time and temporary </li></ul> <p>The College continuously recruits for applicants interested in Adjunct Faculty positions.
