<p>The Electronic Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, evaluation, calibration, and repair of customer and company owned equipment.</p> <p>Duties & Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Perform electronic and mechanical repairs to component level and calibrate and evaluate all equipment and?products as required.</p> </li><li> <p>Assemble hand pieces, optical products and various types?of mechanical, pneumatic and electronic products according?to specifications and procedures.</p> </li><li> <p>Solder components to printed circuit boards and?solder various types of connections and work with test equipment in the calibration and evaluation of ConMed supplier's product.</p> </li><li> <p>Use a variety of manual and automatic tools and?equipment to include DVM and oscilloscope.</p> </li><li> <p>Test production product to ensure proper operation?per established test criteria.</p> </li><li> <p>Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems?to determine root cause of issue and recommend corrective action.</p> </li><li> <p>Recognize failures and set up problems, isolate?problems, and take appropriate action.</p> </li><li> <p>Observes all safety rules and regulations including?the wearing of protective equipment when required.?Will?report any unsafe conditions to?management.</p> </li><li> <p>Sustains and maintains 5S standards and all continuous improvement activities.</p> </li><li> <p>Be willing and able to continually rotate through a variety of manufacturing processes, performing all types of tasks in?a cell/team environment.</p> </li><li> <p>Help train other employees in proper techniques?and procedure to produce defect free?parts.</p> </li><li> <p>May conduct detailed experimental?testing.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform other related tasks not limited to but?including housekeeping tasks required to maintain a clean?and organized work area.</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Three+ years of electronic diagnostic experience and component level troubleshooting is???preferred. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Education:</p> <ul> <li>An AA/AS degree in a field related to electronics and four years of electronic diagnostic experience is preferred. Equivalent electronic certification and related experience may be considered if the candidate can demonstrate a comparable working knowledge of?electronics. </li></ul> <p>Knowledge Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Solid problem solving, digital and analog skills, as well as troubleshooting ability. Exhibit competence in component functionality and possess ability to complete advanced skills???demonstration. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to perform work at a workbench height of 37.5" to 42", sit and stand as necessary, move about, bend, stop, use hands and lift up to 40 lbs as?needed. </li></ul> <p>0% Travel</p> <p>This position is not eligible for employer-based visa sponsorship.</p> <p>Benefits:</p> <p>CONMED offers a wide array of benefits to fit your unique needs.
