This role requires a unique balance of strategic senior leadership and hands-on execution. The ideal candidate is a forward-thinking leader who is passionate about cultivating a culture of continuous learning and aligning development initiatives with business goals. We need a training professional who understands the importance of driving exceptional, high touch service with our clients and our dining population. A "hospitality mentality" is a must! Please note - this is a hybrid role (typically three days in office but must be flexible as business/projects demand).</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Develop and execute a comprehensive learning and development (L&D) strategy aligned with </li></ul> <p>company goals, with a particular focus client & guest engagement, guest service, and client retention.</p> <ul> <li>Collaborate with internal team members and third-party vendors to co-create, refine, and </li></ul> <p>implement high-quality training materials and learning programs.</p> <ul> <li>Lead the design and delivery of leadership development, onboarding, compliance training, skills </li></ul> <p>development, and performance improvement initiatives.</p> <ul> <li>Act as both a strategic partner to executive leadership and a hands-on contributor in training </li></ul> <p>development and deployment.</p> <ul> <li>Identify organizational learning needs through assessments, employee feedback, and performance </li></ul> <p>data.</p> <ul> <li>Oversee the implementation and management of Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other </li></ul> <p>digital learning tools.</p> <ul> <li>Partner with senior leaders, operational business partners, and department heads to ensure </li></ul> <p>alignment of learning initiatives with business needs.</p> <ul> <li>Measure training effectiveness and business impact through data-driven analysis and KPIs. </li></ul> <p>Stay informed on trends and innovations in L&D and recommend relevant solutions.</p> <ul> <li>Manage L&D budget, vendor relationships, and ensure compliance with all training requirements. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Organizational Development, or a related field </li><li>8+ years of experience in learning and development, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role - Food & Beverage, Hotel, Hospitality industry training experience strongly preferred. </li><li>Experience working directly with third-party learning vendors or consultants. </li><li>Proven ability to operate effectively at both strategic and tactical levels. </li><li>Strong background in instructional design, adult learning theory, and blended learning approaches. </li><li>Proficiency in learning technologies, including LMS platforms and e-learning tools. </li><li>Excellent communication, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills. </li><li>Proficiency in using e-Learning software & LMS services such as Articulate, Moodle, or similar </li></ul> <p>technologies.</p> <ul> <li>High level proficiency in using MS Office suite & web-based conference services such as WebEx, </li></ul> <p>Teams, and similar technologies.</p> <ul> <li>Proven ability to lead others towards a timely completion of projects with both urgent and long term deadlines. </li><li>Proven ability to manage multiple time-sensitive projects simultaneously, while working with </li></ul> <p>multiple levels of key stakeholders.</p> <ul> <li>Professional certifications (e.g., CPLP, SHRM-SCP, ATD) are a plus. </li></ul> <p>Apply to Canteen today!</p> <p>Canteen is a member of Compass Group USA</p> <p>Click here to Learn More about the Compass Story</p> <p>Compass Group is an equal opportunity employer.
