<p>Job Overview</p> <p>Fairview is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) on the Med/Surg 5 Intermediate Care Unit at the M Health Fairview University of Minnesota Medical Center - West Bank Campus in Minneapolis, MN.</p> <p>The Med/Surg IMC RN will provide care to medical surgical adult patients with sophisticated medical conditions that require close observation, monitoring, and interventions. We are conveniently located on the West Bank of the Mississippi River near downtown Minneapolis.</p> <p>About Our 5 Med Surg Department at the UMMC West Bank:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Our unit consists of 24 Beds with a mixture of Med/Surg and Intermediate Care patients.</p> </li><li> <p>Care Delivery: 3 patients per RN in IMC and 4-5 Med/Surg assignment.</p> </li><li> <p>Our team is prepared to work with a variety of adult patient diagnoses including:</p> </li><li> <p>Sepsis</p> </li><li> <p>Overdoses/Withdrawals</p> </li><li> <p>Spine Surgeries</p> </li><li> <p>Telemetry</p> </li><li> <p>Continuous IV Infusions of Anti-Dysrhythmic and Vasoactive Drugs</p> </li><li> <p>Complex Medication and Infusion Therapies</p> </li><li> <p>Pneumonia</p> </li><li> <p>Altered Mental Status (AMS)</p> </li><li> <p>And more!</p> </li><li> <p>Adaptability, willingness to learn, and critical thinking skills are all important to be successful in this position.</p> </li><li> <p>We are looking for someone who will accel in a fast-paced environment, someone who knows how to problem solve, who is flexible and collaborative, and who is dedicated to always putting the patient first.</p> </li></ul> <p>Schedule: This position will be working 0.6 FTE (48 hours every two weeks).
