We believe learning is for everyone, everywhere, and all the time.</p> <p>Role Overview:</p> <p>The Events Coordinator plans and coordinates daytime, evening and weekend events. You will maintain the integrity of the Indiana State Museum and Historic Sites while monitoring events and facility rental activities. You will also assist the Facility Rentals Manager and Events Manager with routine responsibilities and tasks.</p> <p>You must excel in organization, problem solving, and customer service to ensure guests have an enjoyable experience.</p> <p>This is a part-time position. Hours will be arranged with the supervisor. Some evenings and weekends may be required.</p> <p>Salary:</p> <p>The salary for this position traditionally starts at $16.73 per hour but may be commensurate with education or work experience.</p> <p>Use our Compensation Calculator to view the total compensation package.</p> <p>A Day in the Life:</p> <p>Responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li>Provide support to Facility Rentals Manager. </li><li>Respond to customer inquiries in a timely manner and conduct site visits, when needed. </li><li>Assist Facility Rentals team with recruiting new business and maintaining satisfied clients. </li><li>Assist and attend weekly meetings to make all staff aware of upcoming needs and responsibilities. </li><li>Serve as liaison for the ISMHS with food service contractor, entertainment groups, rental companies and other vendors to ensure that resources are available external events and ensure on-site representation for all events (before, during and after). </li><li>Deliver exquisite customer service to clients and ALWAYS be attentive and try to anticipate any needs in a pro-active manner. </li><li>Perform pre-event walk throughs to ensure customer expectations are met and exceeded. This includes coordinating with others to ensure set ups are correct and facility is ready! </li><li>Communicate all needs ahead of time, as able, to Maintanance, Security, AV, Experiences, Housekeeping, Education/Programming and Visitor Experiences. </li><li>Ensures that administration of event rentals area is efficient and well maintained; that correspondence is timely, that responses to inquiries are prompt and efficient, and that prospect and client records are adequately maintained. </li><li>Ensures that proper post-event follow-ups and client evaluations are completed as a measurement of customer satisfaction. </li><li>Maintain a professional apprearance and behavoir at all times. </li><li>Works cooperatively and productively to assist the museum in achieving its overall mission. </li></ul> <p>The job description is not intended to be a comprehensive listing of all activities, duties, or responsibilities required of the employee.
