<p>Atlantic Tractor</p> <p>Queen Anne, Maryland</p> <p>Purpose:</p> <p>Assists with managing the service operations within the dealership to ensure customer satisfaction and maximize return on investment by optimizing service department processes. Grows profitable service labor sales and exercises disciplined expense control. Attracts, retains, and assists with development of department personnel.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Work with Service Manager to develop, communicate, enforce and monitor effective Service Department processes to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction.</p> </li><li> <p>Assists Service Manager in creating annual Service Department goals and budget, in alignment with the organization's financial and operational objectives.</p> </li><li> <p>Identify and drive continuous service and parts process improvements.</p> </li><li> <p>Identify new opportunities and develop actionable plans to grow service and parts sales while maintaining disciplined expense control.</p> </li><li> <p>Identify and improve operational effectiveness of the department's mobile vehicles and other assets.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist in coordinating customer clinics, field days and related promotional events.</p> </li><li> <p>Works with the Service Admin Team to ensure that all service warranty and Product Improvement Program claims are submitted within the required timeframe to receive maximum credit.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with scheduling and assigning jobs and work areas to employees in the Service Department according to their skills and knowledge.</p> </li><li> <p>Reviews work orders for completeness and accuracy prior to customer billing</p> </li><li> <p>Assist preparing Service department reports; uses data to help drive improvement and growth.</p> </li><li> <p>Resource for Service to help resolve invoice issues and customer complaints.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensures departmental tools, equipment and vehicles are in good working order.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist Service Manager with recruiting, staffing and employee development activities for employees reporting to this position.</p> </li><li> <p>Adhere and promote all Safety guidelines set forth by organization. Ensure that monthly tool box training and branch self inspections are completed.</p> </li></ul> <p>Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:</p> <ul> <li> <p>3+ years experience in Service Department Operations preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>1+ years experience in Parts Department Operations preferred</p> </li><li> <p>Basic understanding of financial principles relative to the Service Department operations.</p> </li><li> <p>High School Diploma or equivalent.</p> </li><li> <p>Valid Driver's license.</p> </li></ul> <p>The salary range for this position is $50k-$60k depending on experience.</p> <p>#INDHP</p>
