<p>The Student Retention Coach works directly with students to identify and remove obstacles that prevent class attendance and successful program completion. This role focuses on building relationships with students, providing personalized support, and implementing intervention strategies to promote student persistence and graduation. The individual in this role works closely with Student Services and Education personnel to ensure positive student outcomes.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Student Retention & Persistence</p> <ul> <li>Develop and implement retention strategies for at-risk students </li><li>Provide early intervention support during initial enrollment period </li><li>Conduct regular check-ins with students to identify potential barriers </li><li>Create individualized success plans for struggling students </li><li>Monitor student progress and intervene when issues arise </li><li>Track retention metrics and outcomes </li></ul> <p>Student Re-entry Support</p> <ul> <li>Advise students considering withdrawal about alternatives </li><li>Coordinate re-entry process for returning students </li><li>Assess readiness and develop re-entry success plans </li><li>Provide ongoing support during transition back to classes </li><li>Coordinate and implement successful re-entry campaigns </li></ul> <p>Academic Advising & Tutoring Coordination</p> <ul> <li>Provide academic advising and course planning guidance </li><li>Coordinate tutoring services and academic support resources </li><li>Connect students with appropriate learning assistance </li><li>Monitor academic progress and recommend interventions </li><li>Documentation & Communication </li><li>Maintain detailed records of student interactions and interventions </li><li>Communicate student needs and concerns to appropriate staff </li><li>Prepare reports on retention activities and outcomes </li></ul> <p>Reporting and Data</p> <ul> <li>Use internal Academic reports to manage attendance, drops, failures, and persistence </li><li>Identify trends in data where improvement is necessary </li><li>Work with Academic Dean to develop and execute improvement plans </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills </li><li>Ability to build rapport with diverse student populations </li><li>Problem-solving and crisis intervention skills </li><li>Empathetic and patient approach to student support </li><li>Associate's degree required or 2 years related experience; Bachelor's degree preferred </li><li>Experience in student services, counseling, or related field </li><li>Knowledge of student development and retention best practices </li></ul> <p>Full Time</p> <ul> <li>Medical, Dental, Vision </li><li>Life and Disability Insurance </li><li>401(k) with Company Match </li><li>Paid Time Off and Holidays </li><li>Growth Opportunities </li></ul> <p>About Us</p> <p>For over 75 years Lincoln Tech has been one of the nation's leading providers of career training in Healthcare, Automotive/Diesel, Skilled Trades, Information Technology.</p> <p>Lincoln Tech is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer.</p> <ul> <li>Email: careers@lincolntech.edu </li><li>Website: lincolntech.edu/careers </li></ul> <p>30-20355 - Student Retention Coach-22121</p>
