<p>Summary</p> <p>The Shannon Center Clerical student worker position is responsible for providing a welcoming, clean, and safe environment for all users of the University's athletic facility, including students, faculty, staff, and community members. This role supports the day-to-day operations of the fitness center and promotes a positive experience for all guests.</p> <p>Essential Duties & Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Greet all patrons upon entry and verify membership status</p> </li><li> <p>Monitor access and ensure all users are following facility policies and guidelines</p> </li><li> <p>Provide general information about equipment, programs, special events, and membership options</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with basic cleaning and sanitization of equipment and facility areas</p> </li><li> <p>Report any maintenance or safety issues to manager.</p> </li><li> <p>Enforce rules in a respectful and professional manner</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with set up or take down for special programs and events</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with opening and closing procedures as assigned</p> </li><li> <p>Answer phone and take notes as needed</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>MUST BE A STUDENT AT SAINT XAVIER UNIVERSITY</p> <p>Must be Federal Work Study Eligible</p> <p>Must Include a Resume and Cover Letter</p> <ul> <li> <p>Must be a currently enrolled college student</p> </li><li> <p>Friendly, approachable, and customer service-oriented</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work independently and take initiative</p> </li><li> <p>Strong communication and interpersonal skills</p> </li><li> <p>Punctual and reliable</p> </li><li> <p>CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain) preferred</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge of fitness equipment and safety procedures is a plus</p> </li></ul> <p>Additional Expectations</p> <p>We inspire success by working together to provide meaningful, personalized service in a spirit of excellence.
