<p>Engineered Materials Solutions in Attleboro,MA is seeking a Slitter Set-up Operator for a 2nd shift 3-person team. Experience preferred/Basic Math skills required.</p> <p>Position Summary:</p> <p>The Slitter Set up person is responsible for working with the Lead Operator and the Apprentice as a team to maintain the safety of the area, meet the required production and quality requirements for the slit material.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Review operation schedule and work with the operator planning the day/shift. </li><li>Set-up the off-line head for the next available job on the schedule. </li><li>Switch heads when the job is completed on the on-line head with the off-line head set-up for the next job. </li><li>Assist in the processing of material through slitter (Working with the 3rd hand apprentice when free from setting up the off-line on making tags, strapping coils and planning next job) </li><li>Inspect and release slit material </li><li>Work with slitter operator to adjust slitter to maintain tolerance and customer specification requirements </li><li>Work with team to identify non-conformance material and correct deficiencies </li><li>Read route cards, SOPs and other documents. </li><li>Handle material and package cuts for delivery to next operation </li><li>Use hand-held measuring instruments (Micrometer and Vernier), core cutter, camber bar, and other equipment as needed. </li><li>Other duties as required. </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience:</p> <ul> <li>High School or Equivalent </li><li>1-3 years experience operating related equipment </li><li>Ability to read and write English </li><li>Basic Shop Math skills required </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands:</p> <ul> <li>Heavy lifting up to 50 lbs with hoist. </li><li>Standing up to 75% of time </li></ul> <p>Environment:</p> <ul> <li>Manufacturing </li></ul> <p>EMS is an Equal Opportunity Employer and prohibits harassment of any kind.</p>
