Be the difference.</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>Assesses, transports and administers basic life support treatment to ill and injured persons in accordance with department, system and DHEC policies, procedures and standards.</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li> <p>All team members are expected to be knowledgeable and compliant with Prisma Health's purpose:? Be the difference.</p> </li><li> <p>Assesses patients' conditions to determine appropriate emergency care.</p> </li><li> <p>Provides CPR, airway management, oxygen therapy, bleeding control, and other basic life support interventions.</p> </li><li> <p>Administers first aid, manage medical emergencies, and provide support during traumatic injuries or illness.</p> </li><li> <p>Safely transport patients to healthcare facilities using emergency vehicles while adhering to traffic laws and organizational policies.</p> </li><li> <p>Completes patient care reports, maintaining compliance with legal, regulatory, and organizational standards.</p> </li><li> <p>Communicates e with patients, families, healthcare providers, and emergency response teams.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensures all medical equipment, supplies, and vehicles are properly maintained, stocked, and operational.</p> </li><li> <p>Follows all safety protocols, infection control procedures, and regulatory requirements.</p> </li><li> <p>Participates in ongoing training, skill development, and certification maintenance to ensure clinical competency.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs other duties as assigned.</p> </li></ul> <p>Supervisory/Management Responsibilities</p> <p>This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director or executive.</p> <p>Minimum Requirements</p> <ul> <li> <p>Education - High School diploma or equivalent OR post-high school diploma/highest degree earned preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience - Pre-Hospital Care Experience preferred</p> </li></ul> <p>In Lieu Of</p> <p>N/A</p> <p>Required Certifications, Registrations, Licenses</p> <ul> <li> <p>Valid driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle record as defined by the Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) Chart.</p> </li><li> <p>SC Emergency Medical Technician (SCEMT)</p> </li><li> <p>National Registry of Emergency Technicians (NREMT)</p> </li><li> <p>Basic Life Support (BLS)</p> </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Ability to demonstrate skill proficiency on an annual basis.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to maintain Professional Certifications by Attending In-service Training Programs.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to attend staff meetings</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to comply with Employee Health requirements</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to complete?mandatory?Employee Training Programs</p> </li><li> <p>Communication skills</p> </li><li> <p>Critical thinking skills</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work effectively in high-stress, fast-paced environments.</p> </li></ul> <p>Work Shift</p> <p>Variable (United States of America)</p> <p>Location</p> <p>Mobile Care Ambulance Services</p> <p>Facility</p> <p>1024 Prisma Health EMS</p> <p>Department</p> <p>10247256 Ambulance Services</p> <p>Share your talent with us!
