<p>Your Impact</p> <p>We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical CAD Designer to develop and design cutting-edge drone detection and counter-drone systems. This role spans the full product lifecycle from concept through production and involves hands-on modeling, analysis, documentation, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams.This role demands both technical ability and hands-on design excellence, supporting next-generation RF systems critical to our airspace security solutions.</p> <p>What You'll Do</p> <p>Location: Onsite in Westerville, Ohio</p> <ul> <li>Perform detailed mechanical design and CAD modeling (SolidWorks) for enclosures, mounts, subsystems, and test fixtures. </li><li>Translate product specifications into high-fidelity CAD models, drawings, and deliverables ensuring accuracy, functionality, and manufacturability </li><li>Rapidly prototype components (3D printing, CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication), iterate designs, and validate with physical testing. </li><li>Perform up front, initial mechanical analyses including tolerance stack-ups and thermal/structural evaluations to ensure design robustness and reliability. </li><li>Identify problems/issues in CAD design/drawings and provide corrective actions </li></ul> <p>What You Bring</p> <ul> <li>B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a related field, preferred. </li><li>7+ years of mechanical CAD design experience in rugged electronics, aerospace, defense, or similar fields. </li><li>Advanced CAD proficiency with SolidWorks and familiarity with GD&T. </li><li>Experience working with MIL-STD or equivalent certifications. </li><li>Experience with designing parts for plastic injection molding, machining, and sheet metal fabrication. Familiarity with PCBA and flexible circuit design. </li><li>Experience with counter-UAS, radar, SIGINT, or defense-oriented RF systems a plus. </li></ul> <p>Work Location</p> <p>This role is based out of our Westerville Office and follows a hybrid schedule. We rely on in-person collaboration and ask that team members work onsite Tuesdays through Fridays, with the flexibility to work remotely on Mondays, unless there is an approved workplace accommodation.
