<p>Description:</p> <p>Under the general guidance of the physicians/providers performs a variety of diagnostic ultrasonographic</p> <p>procedures.</p> <p>Reports to: Office Manager I or II per clinic structure</p> <p>Reviews patient history and physician orders. Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment & exam to</p> <p>ensure understanding and cooperation.</p> <p>Receives patients, explains method of procedure and makes sure patient is comfortable.</p> <p>Provides patient services to all ages using imaging modalities.</p> <p>Operates ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive</p> <p>procedures according to established standards and practices.</p> <p>Maintains equipment and supplies and organizes work area.</p> <p>Keeps accurate records, helps with scheduling of the ultrasound and keeps patient flow smooth.</p> <p>Performs other duties as assigned.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>Minimum Education:</p> <p>Associate's degree in Radiology - Preferred</p> <p>Graduate from a Medical Ultrasound Program - Required</p> <p>Required Skills:</p> <p>Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be</p> <p>able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.</p> <p>Certifications:</p> <p>BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) - Required to be</p> <p>obtained within 90 days of employment, if not current upon hire.</p> <p>Licenses:</p> <p>Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Sonography(s) and/or</p> <p>registered with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS). New graduates must</p> <p>acquire valid registration within 12 months of hire date.</p> <p>Minimum Work Experience:</p> <p>Six (6) months experience performing Ultrasound procedures</p>
