<p>Responsibilities include: Provide leadership for the development, implementation, and evaluation of a comprehensive County 4-H Youth Development Program in cooperation with local citizens and County/state extension colleagues. Works with other colleagues, schools, agencies, and community organizations to maintain an effective 4-H Program. Develops curriculum, trains volunteers, and presents programs for community clubs, school enrichment, and special interest programming in a variety of subject matter areas. Establishes/maintains an effective system for accountability and public information to all relevant individuals, groups, organizations, and agencies. Maintains an effective Advisory Committee. Develops and sustains partnerships with community agencies and organizations sharing common goals. Targets programs to achieve program balance reflective of the County's population diversity and to address the unique educational needs of the County's youth/leaders. Develops, sustains, and monitors the effectiveness of a volunteer system to staff the 4-H Program, including recruitment, volunteer development, and evaluations/recognition. Provides leadership for managing private financial resources to support 4-H programming. Assumes other assignments and responsibilities in support of the total Extension Program; follows all University and County policies and procedures.</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>This position requires qualified applicants to possess one of the following:</p> <ul> <li>A Master's Degree and/or Bachelor's Degree with relevant experience and accomplishments. </li></ul> <p>PREFERENCE QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>Preferred qualifications include:</p> <ul> <li>A Master's Degree, </li><li>Experience as a community volunteer, </li><li>Experience working in multicultural settings, and </li><li>Coursework/training on multicultural topics are desirable. </li></ul> <p>This position is hired through the University of Florida (UF) and is a split appointment between UF and Palm Beach County government.
