<p>Content Creator</p> <p>Coe College seeks qualified candidates for the position of Content Creator. The Content Creator uses their creative spirit to develop content that captures the excitement and possibilities of life on a college campus. This written and visual content-centric position will demonstrate the impact of a Coe education via original and trending content and campaigns within established brand standards specific to the web, video, social media and other communication avenues. The Content Creator will develop social media content geared toward a variety of audiences but typically focused on peaking the interest of Gen Z and Gen Alpha prospective students. Other responsibilities include monitoring and managing interactions on the college's social media channels.</p> <p>Essential Job Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>In a fast-paced setting, generate ideas and original content for the various marketing mediums based on the college's mission and strategic goals. </li><li>Assess analytics and develop content to increase engagement and visibility of the college across social media platforms and the website. </li><li>Work as part of a team to manage and maintain a planning calendar to ensure frequent and relevant engagement across social platforms. </li><li>Monitor, manage and report on comments, interactions, engagement and paid social media efforts while staying informed of market trends to advise marketing leadership. </li><li>Must be able to develop content in a clear and easy to understand format regardless of the medium and in high-pressure situations that include time constraints. </li><li>Understand and apply the existing Coe College brand (tone, voice, etc.) to all work. </li><li>Develop landing pages and microsites as needed. </li><li>Serve in a supervisory role for social media student assistants and the mascot program. </li><li>Contribute to other marketing efforts as needed and directed by the Director and Executive Director. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or 1-3 years of experience in marketing and written content development. </li><li>Knowledge of marketing on social platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok and LinkedIn including data analytic metrics. </li><li>Exceptional attention to detail and communication, listening, writing and proofing skills. </li><li>Multitasking and organizational abilities. </li><li>An eye for photography and visuals used in social media. </li><li>Excellent command over written English and AP Style (or a desire to learn AP Style) </li><li>Knowledge of the general functionality of a website CMS is desired. </li><li>Knowledge of SEO or a desire to learn the basics of SEO. </li><li>Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the United States as we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time. </li><li>Successful completion of a background check in accordance with Coe College policy. </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:</p> <p>Position Specific:</p> <ul> <li>Social media skills with an understanding and appreciation for the power of social media. </li><li>Skills, knowledge and experience in web-based technology to create and update content for the college. </li><li>Knowledge of the latest technology trends to ensure on-going success. </li><li>Ability to work independently and make sound decisions independently. </li><li>Demonstrated ability to collaborate with people from a wide variety of offices and maintain a positive atmosphere while working under time constraints and deadlines. </li><li>Ability to excel in high-pressure situations. </li></ul> <p>Coe Competencies:</p> <ul> <li>Dedication to the educational mission of a private, residential liberal arts college. </li><li>Ability to maintain positive relationships in a collaborative and diverse team atmosphere. </li><li>Commitment to excellent customer and/or student service. </li><li>Demonstrated ethical and responsible decision making. </li><li>Consistent attendance and accountability necessary to meet position objectives. </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Typical office setting-stationary for several hours at a time but the position does include extensive walking/movement around campus at various times throughout the year. </li><li>Ability to monitor social media on weekends, evenings and during unexpected hours. </li></ul> <p>Coe College is an equal opportunity employer.</p>
