To learn more about Pathway School of Discovery click here.</p> <p>Why Choose Pathway School of Discovery:</p> <p>Starting pay above market scales.</p> <p>Experienced leadership team.</p> <p>Outperforming local districts on state tests.</p> <p>High level of support for all staff.</p> <p>Safe learning environment with external and internal cameras.</p> <p>High parent involvement.</p> <p>Behavioral support for teachers and students (ABSS).</p> <p>Dean support model.</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <p>Provide direct and indirect occupational therapy services as outlined in students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) or Section 504 plans.</p> <p>Conduct assessments of motor, visual-motor, and sensory-motor skills for students referred for special education evaluation to help determine eligibility for services.</p> <p>Participate in the IEP/Section 504 process, providing input on assessment measures, intervention strategies, and student progress.</p> <p>Collaborate as a member of the special education team to deliver comprehensive services to students with disabilities.</p> <p>Consult with teachers, school administrators, parents, and relevant stakeholders regarding students' physical, motor, and sensory development.</p> <p>Work closely with teachers to integrate occupational therapy goals into the classroom environment and support classroom objectives through therapy programs.</p> <p>Provide training to relevant individuals on effective methods to assist students in mainstream settings.</p> <p>Develop, implement, evaluate, and adjust occupational therapy interventions in collaboration with school staff and parents.</p> <p>Utilize treatment strategies involving physical, sensory, manual, creative, and recreational activities to support student development.</p> <p>Design adaptive equipment and devices for individual students and classroom use.</p> <p>Maintain an accurate record of student caseload requirements and update the Special Education Administrator on any changes.</p> <p>Maintain a detailed schedule and service logs, and track student progress toward therapy goals.</p> <p>Demonstrate professionalism in handling confidential matters and materials.</p> <p>Pursue ongoing professional development to stay informed about current practices and research in occupational therapy.</p> <p>Participate in school initiatives such as screening programs to support student development.</p> <p>Attend parent-teacher meetings as needed to discuss student progress and therapy plans.</p> <p>Perform other job related duties as assigned by the building principal</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>Bachelor's Degree</p> <p>American Occupational Therapy License</p> <p>National Heritage Academies is an equal-opportunity employer.</p>
