<p>NOTICE OF VACANCY Night Custodian - 12 Month Position TANTASQUA REGIONAL HIGH SCHOOL School Year: 2025-2026 Anticipated Start Date: August 27, 2025 REPORTS TO: Principal</p> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Sweeps, mops, waxes, dusts, change light bulbs </li><li>Washes windows, walls, floors, and furnishings </li><li>Picks up paper and other debris, empties and cleans trash receptacles </li><li>Rearranges and moves furnishings, transports, and delivers educational supplies </li><li>Operates vacuums, floor machines, buffers, and carpet cleaning equipment in addition to any new equipment introduced to the facility </li><li>Maintains bathroom facilities ABILITY TO: </li><li>Work outdoors in all seasons, shovel snow, fill and push salt spreader (up to 75 lbs) </li><li>Operates common and specialized cleaning equipment and tools </li><li>Understand and carries out both written and oral instructions </li><li>Perform heavy physical labor to include lifting, pulling, pushing, and working off ladders </li><li>Use hand and small power tools to accomplish minor repairs and adjustments </li><li>Maintain work schedules in the performance of cleaning tasks </li><li>Adhere to safety standards and safe practices especially in the handling and use of chemicals and bloodborne pathogens </li><li>Maintain cooperative and productive working relationships through the use of courtesy and tact when dealing with others </li><li>Retain a valid license to operate any school equipment </li><li>Be certifiable in federal and state-mandated safety laws if required QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION: </li><li>evidence of ability to perform each essential function satisfactorily. </li><li>The requirements listed above are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required </li><li>Minimum of high school diploma, or equivalent </li><li>Six months' experience in the custodial field and the ability to demonstrate knowledge of custodial procedures, equipment, and cleaning products preferred </li><li>Approved CORI and Fingerprinting results </li></ul> <p>Please apply online through School Spring and/or submit letter of interest, resume, and three current letters of reference to Peter Dufresne, Principal Tantasqua Regional High School 319 Brookfield Road Fiskdale, MA 01518 dufresnep@tantasqua.org</p> <p>POSTED: 8/5/25 APPLICATION DEADLINE: 8/20/25</p> <p>Tantasqua Regional/Union 61Districts are committed to maintaining a work and learning environment free from discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, pregnancy, gender identity, sexual orientation, marital/civil union status, ancestry, place of birth, age, citizenship status, veteran status, political affiliation, genetic information or disability, as defined and required by state and federal laws.
