Description</p> <p>Manager - Signature Experience Events</p> <p>Wage: $48,000+ annual salary, DOE</p> <p>Shift: Full time, exempt. This role demands expertise in event design, logistics, vendor management, and on-site execution. The ideal candidate has a strong creative vision, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. A minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in the event design field is required. This role will be instrumental in the planning and execution of large-scale events such as Luminaria, Tulip Festival, and other major seasonal celebrations at Thanksgiving Point.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <p>Event Design, Planning and Coordiation</p> <ul> <li>Serve as the primary contact for clients from inquiry to post-event follow-up. </li><li>Design and execute custom event layouts, décor, and experiences tailored to client needs. </li><li>Develop comprehensive event timelines and logistics plans. </li><li>Collaborate closely with internal teams (catering, facilities, AV) to ensure flawless execution. </li><li>Source, negotiate, and manage relationships with external vendors and contractors. </li><li>Lead the creative and logistical planning for large-scale events, including Luminaria, Tulip Festival, and other high-profile experiences. </li></ul> <p>Event Execution and On-Site Management</p> <ul> <li>Oversee all aspects of event setup, execution, and teardown. </li><li>Ensure all design elements and logistics align with client expectations and organizational standards. </li><li>Proactively address and resolve on-site challenges in real time. </li><li>Maintain a high standard of service, presentation, and professionalism throughout the event lifecycle </li></ul> <p>Client and Team Management:</p> <ul> <li>Foster strong client relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals. </li><li>Lead and mentor part-time staff and volunteers involved in event execution. </li><li>Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback and drive continuous improvement. </li></ul> <p>Budgeting and Administrative Duties</p> <ul> <li>Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring financial targets are met. </li><li>Maintain accurate records of contracts, event details, and client communications. </li><li>Assist in the creation of marketing materials and promotional strategies for events. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li><li>Exemplify Thanksgiving Point's Mission, Values, and Policies with curiosity, compassion and confidence. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Event Design, Event Management, Hospitality, or a related field (or equivalent experience). </li><li>3-5 years of professional experience in the event design field is mandatory. </li><li>Proven track record of successfully designing and executing large-scale events, including high-traffic public experiences like Luminaria and Tulip Festival. </li><li>Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple events concurrently. </li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills. </li><li>Proficiency in event management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and CRM tools. </li><li>Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. </li><li>Physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods. </li><li>Familiarity with Thanksgiving Point's mission and core values is a plus. </li><li>Pass a background check. </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions:</p> <ul> <li>Fast-paced environment with varying hours based on event schedules. </li><li>Significant time spent on-site during events, including outdoors in varying weather conditions. </li></ul> <p>EOE Statement We are an equal employment opportunity employer.
