<p>SAGE Dining Services is seeking an experienced Catering Director/Assistant Food Service Director for a private, co-educational day and boarding school in Middletown, Rhode Island, a suburb of Newport. The school is built on a hill overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. SAGE Dining Services seeks a Catering Manager with an attitude that reflects the following: "How may I help you?"</p> <p>The ideal Catering Manager will have front and back of the house experience and at least 3 years of prior catering, food service, and food service management experience.</p> <p>Responsibilities of this position include primarily working with all clients at the location to serve all the catering needs... from coffee service to a sit down black tie dinner. Other duties include assisting the Food Service Director with menu development, ordering and inventory, production, receivables, sanitation, team development, and general location management.</p> <p>Schedule will include days/nights and weekends, however even working nights, you are typically done by 8 PM, unless there is a special catering event. Catering experience is a must. Client interaction and customer service are key components of this position. Communication skills are needed: written, oral and computer. Must have a valid driver's license. This is a 44 week position, with summers off!</p> <p>This position is all about imagination, creativity, and demonstrating a strong work ethic. We would like to find a manager who understands what it means to add a little WOW to the program.</p> <p>Consistency is the most critical factor in dining service and the successful candidate will possess the skills and leadership traits necessary to get all employees to follow him/her to reach our goals.</p>
