When you join NorthStar, you become part of a supportive community that honors tradition while embracing innovation - all with the goal of providing meaningful, memorable experiences that reflect the lives being celebrated.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Arrange and lead funeral and memorial services with professionalism, compassion, and respect for families. </li><li>Manage all aspects of service planning, including scheduling, locations, transportation, and coordination with vendors such as florists and caterers. </li><li>Prepare and file required legal documents (death certificates, permits) and work closely with cemeteries to arrange burials. </li><li>Provide logistical support by driving funeral vehicles and delivering flowers, caskets, urns, and personal keepsakes. </li><li>Provide evening on-call coverage as part of a rotating schedule to ensure timely response to urgent operational needs. </li><li>Collaborate with colleagues across departments to ensure family needs are met with care and efficiency. </li><li>Maintain accurate client records and service documentation. </li><li>Handle administrative tasksincluding data entry, filing, and phone inquirieswith professionalism and attention to detail. </li><li>Uphold compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations governing funeral service </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or GED required. </li><li>1+ year of funeral industry experience preferred, but not required. We will train the right person. </li><li>Previous experience in customer service or hospitality strongly preferred. </li><li>Warm, professional presence with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. </li><li>Proficient in computer applications (MS Office, data entry systems). </li><li>Ability to type a minimum of 40 words per minute. </li><li>Strong multitasking skills; able to stay composed in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments. </li><li>Confident speaking in front of groups and engaging with diverse communities. </li><li>Physically capable of lifting up to 20 to 50 lbs. </li><li>Flexible schedule with weekend availability. </li></ul> <p>Compensation:</p> <p>$26- $29/hr. + bonus potential</p> <p>Benefits</p> <ul> <li>Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance </li><li>Health Savings Account (HSA) </li><li>Life Insurance </li><li>401(k) with Employer Matching </li></ul> <p>We are an equal-opportunity employer.
