<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Job Title: Elementary Secretary</p> <p>Location: Elsberry R-II School District - Elementary School</p> <p>Reports To: Elementary Principal</p> <p>Employment Terms: 11-Month Contract | Four-Day School Week | Full Benefits (District-Paid Insurance)</p> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>The Elsberry R-II School District is seeking a professional, organized, and student-centered individual to serve as the Elementary Secretary. This position serves as the first point of contact for students, parents, staff, and visitors, while providing essential administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of the elementary office. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to fostering a welcoming and positive school environment.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Serve as the primary point of contact for the elementary office, greeting visitors and answering phone calls in a professional and friendly manner </li><li>Provide administrative support to the Elementary Principal and staff </li><li>Manage student attendance records, including daily tracking and reporting </li><li>Assist with student enrollment, registration, and record maintenance </li><li>Maintain accurate student files in accordance with district and state guidelines </li><li>Coordinate office communications, including newsletters, announcements, and correspondence </li><li>Support scheduling of meetings, events, and school activities </li><li>Assist with health room needs and student check-in/check-out procedures </li><li>Process and distribute incoming and outgoing mail </li><li>Maintain confidentiality of all student and staff information in accordance with FERPA and district policies </li><li>Provide general clerical support, including data entry, filing, and document preparation </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma required; additional education or training preferred </li><li>Previous office or school experience preferred </li><li>Strong organizational and multitasking skills </li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills </li><li>Proficiency in computer applications, including word processing and spreadsheets </li><li>Ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and families </li></ul> <p>Additional Information</p> <ul> <li>The Elsberry R-II School District operates on a four-day school week, supporting a strong work-life balance </li><li>This is an 11-month position with competitive compensation </li><li>The district provides full insurance benefits at no cost to the employee </li><li>Training will be provided to support success in all aspects of the position </li></ul> <p>Application Process</p> <p>Interested candidates should submit an application, resume, and references in accordance with district hiring procedures to Mr. Mike Boedeker at mboedeker@elsberry.k12.mo.us</p> <p>The Elsberry R-II School District is an equal opportunity employer committed to creating a positive and supportive environment for all students, staff, and families.</p> <p>You are navigating off of REAP site to the district's posting.</p> <p>OK</p>
