The Analyst position reports to the Manager of Investment Operations and will be based out of our home office in Des Moines, Iowa. We work a hybrid schedule, offering flexibility to work both remotely and on-site.</p> <ul> <li>Operate independently and within team(s) to improve, develop and execute procedures for tracking all investments within the portfolio across stakeholders according to best practices and industry standards. </li><li>Prepares and assists internal and external parties with review and analysis of data for completeness, validity and reasonableness as well as assists with projects and training others on the team. </li><li>Compiles, reviews, and analyzes information in various systems to ensure details match to agreed standards and established controls. Utilizes and maintains knowledge of industry standards and best practices as it relates to functions within investment operations and systems utilized within the firm. </li><li>Completes settlement with custodians, trustees, brokers and other provides for all asset types including but not limited to fixed income, equity, securitization, and private placements. </li><li>Assists with the analysis of valuations for the book of investments including but not limited to assistance with the creation and validation of pricing models, review of daily/monthly valuations comparative to the market and execution of the pricing process. </li><li>Compiles and prepares reports as required including but not limited to trade blotters, wire reports, payment notification, etc. for internal and external service partners. </li><li>Performs cash and position reconciliations as needed with both internal and external parties. Researches and resolves discrepancies in accounts and unmatched payment records, reported reconciliations variances and follows up with , internal or external clients to ensure accurate investment book of records. </li><li>Assists with the preparation of periodic reports and other financial documents </li><li>Bullet points for the candidate qualifications </li></ul> <p>What We're Looking For:</p> <ul> <li>A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting and Business Administration or equivalent work experience required </li><li>0 - 5 years of experience in teams like Asset Servicing, Loan Servicing, preferably in an Investment Operations or Financial Services role or internship </li><li>Knowledge of loans, bonds, equities, alternative investments, loan syndication, and securitizations including investment strategies like Direct Lending, Mezzanine, CLO & Asset Back financing preferred </li><li>Strong Communication skills and email writing skills </li><li>Ability to manage numerous requests and tasks on a daily basis and track/respond to requests in a timely manner while displaying high intellectual curiosity and innovation to continuously expand knowledge base </li><li>Experience with industry systems, tools and applications such as Pam for Investments, Clearwater, Everest, Charles River Trading System, DTCC Products, WSO, Clearpar, Markit Products, Factset, Bloomberg, Aladdin </li><li>Entrepreneurial, resourceful, self-starter type who demonstrates high levels of integrity and accountability while passionate about problem solving. </li><li>Displays teamwork orientation and highly collaborative while building strong relationships with internal and external colleagues </li><li>Ability to analyze financial documentation, develop procedures and communicate detail in both verbal and written form </li></ul> <p>Why Choose Security Benefit?</p> <p>When you join our team, you're not just getting a paycheck - you're getting a career path full of growth opportunities, plus a robust benefits package that puts your well-being first.
