Previous applicants are still under consideration and do not need to re-apply</p> <p>Position is a Nurse Supervisor located at Franklin Correctional Center in Bunn, North Carolina which houses approximately 480 medium custody male offenders.  Position reports directly to the Associate Warden - Programs.  Position is the highest level of nursing supervision and the Health Authority responsible for the daily management/operation of the facility nursing operation.  The Nurse Supervisor is responsible for ensuring professional nursing care and treatment is afforded to patients within medical policies, protocols and consistent with Board of Nursing requirements.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Direct supervision of all nursing staff to include staff schedules, assignments, orientation, performance improvement evaluations, and clinical competency evaluations. </li><li>Supervises and conducts needs assessments, develops, implements and evaluates treatment plans and provides patient care and education to offenders. </li><li>Ensures all policies and procedures are followed and submit short and long term goals to Leadership for review and approval. </li><li>Performs administrative duties such as planning, organizing and managing daily operations, quality assurance, Human Resource management functions, and staff development. </li><li>Required to develop and maintain effective communication and work relationships with Physicians, upper management healthcare personnel, patients, families, agencies and other. </li><li>Must have the ability to identify and address quality monitoring and performance improvement issues for the facility. </li><li>May be required to work any schedule to ensure medical operations needs are met at the facility level. </li></ul> <p>This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with State Benefits.
