<p>LOCATION: Saenger Theatre, Pensacola, FL POSITION: Event Attendant/Janitor -- Part-timeREPORTS TO: Janitorial Supervisor/Operations Manager FLSA STATUS: Hourly, Non-Exempt</p> <p>ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for an Event Attendant/Janitor at the Pensacola Saenger Theatre. The Janitor is responsible for participating in the day-to-day functions of performing various physical tasks, as well as cleaning and maintaining the facility and provide housekeeping tasks as needed.Major Responsibilities:<em> Maintain a safe and clean environment</em> Clean restrooms, offices and public areas<em> Vacuuming, sweeping, mopping</em> Shampoo carpets as assigned or needed* Dust flat surfaces</p> <ul> <li>Operate basic electrical cleaning equipment<em> Clean exterior and interior entrance door glass</em> Work on special projects as needed<em> Clean building entrances and concourse</em> Ability to read and understand English<em> Clean and maintain cleaning equipment</em> Dispose of all waste, including bulk trash removal from building in all areas<em> Attend and conform to all policies established by ASM Global in the successful performance of this position</em> Must have the ability to interact with guests in a friendly, courteous and polite manner. This will include initiating contact with guests within 10 feet -- i.e. smiling, saying 'Good Day' or offering assistance when needed<em> Must feel comfortable when around large groups or speaking to a guest, as needed</em> Understands the importance of providing customer service and in understanding of 'The Magic is in the Details'* All other duties and responsibilities as assignedEducation and/or Experience:Prior conventions and/or event experience in an arena, convention center or other similar public assembly facility preferred.Skills/Aptitudes: </li><li>Able to work in a multi-tasking environment with minimal supervision. </li><li>Work well in fast-paced environment or under deadlines. </li><li>Work in a team environment or alone, with or without direct supervision. </li><li>Good verbal communication skills. </li><li>Ability and willingness to follow written and or verbal instruction.Knowledge: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily.
