The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.</p> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>Columbia University is seeking a Manager of Campus Services & Manhattanville Operations to oversee financial operations for Undergraduate Housing, Lerner Operations, and Manhattanville Campus. This role manages an $80M budget, leads financial planning and reporting, and supervises a small team. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, experience with budgeting and forecasting, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.</p> <p>Reporting to the Director of Operations, Financial Services, the Manager of Campus Services & Manhattanville Operations will manage and oversee the day-to-day financial operations for Undergraduate Housing, Lerner Operations, and Manhattanville Operations.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Provide high-level support of budget-related issues, including but not limited to general accounting and financial reporting.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain University-approved accounting practices that provide timely, managerially relevant data for a total operating budget of approximately $80 million.</p> </li><li> <p>Leads the development and preparation of CUFO's $80M annual operating budget for Undergraduate Housing, Lerner Operations, and Manhattanville Campus Operations.</p> </li><li> <p>Completes budget analyses, develops expenditure and revenue forecasts, and provides ongoing monitoring of the budget.</p> </li><li> <p>Providing monthly forecast updates of projected revenues and expenditures for all accounts, including updating the University's budget tool.</p> </li><li> <p>Assists in the oversight and management of other analysts within the Operating Finance Unit.</p> </li><li> <p>Accomplish staff results by communicating job expectations, planning and goals, and monitoring job results, translating departmental goals into functional and individual goals.</p> </li><li> <p>Produce and analyze month-end reports, identifying emerging resource shortfalls and other financial issues.</p> </li><li> <p>Responsible for completing and updating CUFO's headcount and monthly financial reports, which are reviewed by the executive team and require interaction and coordination with many levels of the CUFO organization.</p> </li><li> <p>Create monthly financial reports on expenditures, incorporating data from the University's Accounting and Reporting at Columbia (ARC) system.</p> </li><li> <p>Leads the analysis and financial impact of proposed new workflows and processes for Undergraduate Housing, Lerner Operations, and Manhattanville Campus Operations.</p> </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 4-6 years of related experience required. An advanced degree is desirable. </li><li>Knowledge of financial and general accounting principles required. </li><li>Must be detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and exceptional analytical skills. </li><li>Strong technical skills required, including overall proficiency with Microsoft Office programs and advanced Excel knowledge. </li><li>Must have the ability to prepare reports, summaries, and analyses, and present findings. </li><li>Must be able to demonstrate excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. </li><li>Must be capable of working independently as well as collaboratively and have the ability to work closely and effectively with a diverse group of University administrators. </li><li>Must have a commitment to excellent customer service. </li></ul> <p>Equal Opportunity Employer / Disability / Veteran</p> <p>Columbia University is committed to the hiring of qualified local residents.</p>
