<p>Job Title: Prefabrication Manager</p> <p>Role Summary:</p> <p>Oversee and coordinate prefabrication shop operations, ensuring efficient production, safety, quality, and alignment with field construction projects. Manage staff, subcontractors, and vendors while promoting continuous improvement and a lean manufacturing culture.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Coordinate work between craft, subcontractors, vendors, and field project teams.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure adherence to safety programs, including training, audits, and incident investigations.</p> </li><li> <p>Manage staff performance, training, recruitment, and mentorship.</p> </li><li> <p>Plan and schedule prefabrication projects, including manpower, materials, and timelines.</p> </li><li> <p>Monitor quality, documentation, and compliance with specifications and codes.</p> </li><li> <p>Inspect work in progress and resolve prefabrication issues with engineering or field teams.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain shop and yard facilities, including equipment upkeep and safety.</p> </li><li> <p>Promote lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and improve efficiency.</p> </li><li> <p>Implement standard processes, visual controls, and KPI tracking for productivity and quality.</p> </li><li> <p>Lead continuous improvement initiatives and cross-functional workshops.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with engineering, planning, and operations to optimize workflows.</p> </li><li> <p>Support diversity and inclusion initiatives.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform other duties as assigned, ensuring compliance with company policies.</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's degree in Construction, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field plus 7 years of relevant construction or manufacturing experience, or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and current safety standards.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience in fabrication, industrial construction, manufacturing, or operations management.</p> </li><li> <p>Minimum 5 years of supervisory or leadership experience.</p> </li><li> <p>Heavy industrial experience preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to read and interpret project specifications, manuals, safety rules, and operating procedures.</p> </li><li> <p>Effective communication skills to address teams, clients, and stakeholders.</p> </li><li> <p>Proven skills in training, mentoring, performance management, and team development.</p> </li><li> <p>Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles, continuous improvement, and process optimization.</p> </li><li> <p>Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Oracle Primavera P6 and accounting software preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Must meet company driving requirements.</p> </li></ul> <p>After you have applied, download our Staffmark Group WorkNOW App to receive real-time job offers and apply for additional opportunities.
