<p>Overview</p> <p>The Mobile Mammography Aide assists the technologists and physician with duties associated with the mobile mammography unit to include, scheduling, reporting, billing, film acquisition, film processing, and preparation for dictation. The Mobile Mammography Aide supports the goals of the department and hospital through excellent customer relations skills.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Assist the mammography technologist in the mobile setting by registering patients and obtaining accurate histories.</p> <p>Operate mechanical systems on van to include hydraulic jacks, heating system, chair lift, etc.</p> <p>Compile reports related to mobile mammography activities for appropriate agencies in a timely fashion.</p> <p>Assist technologist in any manner that expedites patient examination to include, lifting/moving patients, and completing exams.</p> <p>Restore digital images from PACS system.</p> <p>Review department and mobile audit trails daily to ensure correct charging.Schedule and complete mobile exams.Hang digital mammography images for physician viewing according to physician protocol. Obtain outside films for comparison.</p> <p>Answer phone using appropriate customer relations skills.Attend and participates in department staff meetings.</p> <p>Take an active role in gaining or maintaining proficiency in hospital and radiology equipment and information systems needed in performance of job responsibilities.</p> <p>Present a positive image of the hospital and department.</p> <p>Perform other duties as assigned.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Education / Accreditation / Licensure (required & preferred):• High School graduate or equivalent. • BLSExperience (required and preferred): • One year in a hospital and previous clerical experience preferred. • Medical terminology desired.</p> <p>#LI-DNI</p>
