Adheres to MercyOne's performance expectations and performs all defined services and other related duties in accordance with the Mission, Vision and Values of MercyOne.</p> <p>What you will Do:</p> <p>Obtains proper specimens for testing.</p> <p>Performs clinical testing of laboratory specimens and reviews data for clinical correlation.</p> <p>Performs quality control testing on all analyzers and analytes and interprets results.</p> <p>Troubleshoots instrumentation and assays.</p> <p>Adheres to all safety, infection control and colleague health policies and procedures.</p> <p>Based on principles of growth and development, provides care appropriate to the age related needs of the patients served on his/her assigned unit, which may include:</p> <p>Birth-28 days: Neonate</p> <p>1-18 Months: Infant</p> <p>18 Mo-3 Yrs: Toddler</p> <p>3-6 Yrs: Pre-School Aged</p> <p>6-12 Yrs: School-Aged</p> <p>12-18 Yrs: Adolescents</p> <p>18-65 Yrs: Adults</p> <p>65+ Yrs: Geriatrics</p> <p>Hours/Schedule:</p> <p>Full Time Nights</p> <p>36 Hours Per Week</p> <p>Rotating Weekends and Holidays</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <p>Associates Degree: Medical Laboratory Technician program. ASCP eligible and successfully pass certification exam within 6 months of hire or certified Medical Laboratory Technician by ASCP. Mandatory Reporter.</p> <ul> <li>Intermediate language, intermediate math, high reasoning ability. </li><li>Personal computer, database software. </li><li>Ability to work with minimal supervision. Ability to be highly organized.
