<p>Provides quality ultrasound studies to include abdominal, OB, vascular, neonatal, pelvis, breast, and testicular small parts for use by the radiologist in the diagnosis of patient illness.</p> <p>Maintains appropriate files, supplies and equipment.</p> <p>Reports to: Ultrasound Supervisor</p> <p>FLSA: Non-exempt</p> <p>Education: Graduate of Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or School of Radiology Required; Graduate from an accredited DMS program</p> <p>Licenses: ARRT OR DMS Certification (or meets Education Requirements from accredited DMS program)</p> <p>Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS)</p> <p>Minimum Work Experience</p> <p>Demonstrated ability to learn advanced ultrasound procedures.</p> <p>ARRT should have one year of DMS experience (preferred only).</p> <p>Required Skills</p> <p>Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <p>Performs sonographic examinations and procedures as requested by the referring physician delivery of care and services</p> <p>Maintains appropriate supplies and a clean and orderly work area. Notifies supervisor of needed items</p> <p>Maintains equipment to ensure accuracy and longevity</p> <p>Provides age appropriate care to all patients</p> <p>Acts as a physician/staff consultant and educational resource for appropriateness and accuracy of scans</p> <p>Non-Essential Functions</p>
