<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Typical work includes:</p> <ul> <li>Dispatch activities for the Department of Campus Safety & Security. </li><li>Receive incoming emergency and non-emergency calls from a variety of sources - college blue light system, emergency call boxes, campus class rooms and personal mobile devices; </li><li>Coordinate with Onondaga County Emergency Communications (911) via radio and telephone to request and coordinate external Police Fire/ Rescue and EMS services as necessary; </li><li>Process information received in the college Computer Aided Dispatch System (CAD), maintain data and retrieve information from the CAD system; </li><li>Dispatch Campus Peace Officers, Security Guards and Student Patrols as necessary; </li><li>Utilizing the college security camera system, conduct remote surveillance specific to emergency calls and activity on campus; monitor and report camera problems on a regularly scheduled basis; </li><li>Archive CCTV footage into the evidence system, retrieve and maintain CCTV evidence as necessary; </li><li>Manage the class cancellation system during non-business hours; </li><li>Monitor the college fire alarm system; dispatch to single and full activation fire calls; </li><li>Respond to residence hall requests for maintenance and shuttle location, provide information as necessary; </li><li>Utilize the CS Gold system to provide information to officers specific to requests for information; </li><li>Utilize the CBORD system to ensure that special requests for building access is accurate; </li><li>Provide information to students, staff and faculty regarding the college's parking management system (AIMS); </li><li>Coordinate with Events / SRC / Campus Safety for Special events at the SRC arena; </li><li>React to walk in complaints by providing information; </li><li>Assist with providing visitor access to Facilities, IT and Campus Safety </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to give information verbally; </li><li>Ability to relate well with the public. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualification:</p> <ul> <li>Bilingual in English and Spanish. </li><li>English and another language can be considered. </li></ul> <p>Additional Information:</p> <p>Part-time shift available:</p> <ul> <li>Saturday/Sunday: 3:00 pm-11:00 pm </li><li>Pay rate: $17/hour </li></ul> <p>Application Instructions:</p> <ul> <li> <p>To be considered, please submit a resume and cover letter at time of application.</p> </li><li> <p>The three (3) references listed on the application must be professional references.</p> </li><li> <p>Only the finalist's references will only be contacted, and after a final interview.</p> </li><li> <p>Offers are contingent with the completion of a background check, and official transcripts are required upon hire.</p> </li><li> <p>Please contact hr@sunyocc.edu if you have questions.</p> </li></ul>
