<p>Department:</p> <p>85306 Cabarrus College of Health Sciences - Academic Student Services</p> <p>Status:</p> <p>Full time</p> <p>Benefits Eligible:</p> <p>Yes</p> <p>Hours Per Week:</p> <p>40</p> <p>Schedule Details/Additional Information:</p> <p>Monday through Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm additional for events as needed</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li>Coordinates the Federal Student Financial Aid Program for the student population of Carolinas College of Health Sciences and Mercy School of Nursing. </li><li>Disburses and awards student aid funds and applies all financial aid activity to the tuition account of each student. </li><li>Aggressively orchestrates and adheres to the college's default management program in order to keep the college default rate at a minimum level. </li><li>Completes annual report of funds awarded and requests funds for future award years. </li><li>Utilizes federal electronic programs to process applications, obtain need analysis, and report payment information to the Department of Education. </li><li>Provides entrance and exit loan counseling and monitors loan repayment. </li><li>Maintains compliance with Title IV federal regulations and accreditation standards. </li><li>Assists with the development of policies and procedures regarding operational needs of the college and the department. </li><li>Participates in college committee structure and serves as chair of the scholarship committee. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <p>Requires walking, standing, bending, sitting and the ability to lift up to 25lbs. Responsible for working in a safe manner.</p> <p>Education, Experience and Certifications</p> <p>Bachelor's Degree required. Strong communication skills both written and verbal necessary. Three years experience involving the processing of Title IV Federal Student Aid Programs with experience in on-line use of Title IV Programs preferred.
