<p>Mirion Technologies is seeking a highly motivated Technical Support Engineer who provides technical assistance through phone and email support.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES:</p> <ul> <li>Provide general support for the legacy Mirion product line, including hardware, software and application products. </li><li>Report design, reliability, and maintenance problems to engineering. </li><li>Utilize ServiceMax and standard database platforms to ensure all issues and resolutions are properly documented. </li></ul> <p>ADDITIONAL DUTIES:</p> <ul> <li>Provide on-site support in emergency cases. </li><li>Provide internal support to other teams in meeting objectives/goals when required. </li></ul> <p>ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ul> <li>Technical acumen. Preferably Electronics, Mechanical or Science/Physics background. </li><li>Very good verbal communication skills. </li><li>Excellent organizational skills, typing/keyboarding skills and written reporting skills. </li><li>Experienced in the use of Microsoft Office tools. </li><li>Well-disciplined, self-starter with an enthusiastic, entrepreneurial spirit being able to work alone or with a team. </li><li>Must be logical and analytical in approaching solutions to complex problems. </li><li>Must have a valid driver's license. </li></ul> <p>PREFERRED SKILLS:</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge and proficiency of Mirion Germanium Detector product line. </li><li>Experience using Mirion software tools, interfacing and diagnostic programs. </li><li>Nuclear Physics and Radiation Principles knowledge and experience. </li><li>Complex system troubleshooting to resolution at modular and/or component level. </li></ul> <p>EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ul> <li>1-3 years in a technical/customer service position. Must have excellent technical and customer relations experience to handle the diversity of systems and their applications. </li><li>A.S. or B.S. degree in Electronics, Nuclear Engineering or equivalent preferred but not required. Some technical schooling along with 4+ years related technical experience may be substituted. </li></ul>
