<p>Maintenance Technician, HVAC Specialist</p> <p>Location: Lehi, UT</p> <p>Status: Full-Time</p> <p>Hours: Monday-Friday; 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.</p> <p>Pay/Salary: $51,500 - $56,362</p> <p>Summary</p> <p>As an HVAC Specialist at MTECH, you'll play a key role in creating safe, comfortable, and functional learning environments for students, faculty, and staff. Your work directly supports the college's mission by ensuring all MTECH facilities operate efficiently and reliably. You won't just maintain systems-you'll make a real difference in everyone's daily experience on campus. Specializing in HVAC, you'll also contribute to various maintenance tasks across various trades, assisting in everything from mechanical systems to safety features.</p> <p>Why Work with Us?</p> <p>The workplace culture and opportunities here at MTECH are benefits in and of themselves, but here's what you can expect from MTECH's generous benefits package:</p> <ul> <li>Positive Work Culture: Be a part of a friendly, team-oriented environment where your contributions are valued. </li><li>Comprehensive Health Coverage: Enjoy affordable and extensive healthcare benefits. </li><li>Financial Peace of Mind: 14.2% retirement contributions and a 6.2% Social Security alternative. </li><li>Work-Life Balance: Take advantage of paid holidays, personal leave, sick days, and vacation time. </li><li>Professional Growth: Receive an MTECH tuition waiver after three months, opening doors to further your education and skills. </li></ul> <p>What You'll Do:</p> <p>Responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician, HVAC Specialist include, but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems to ensure optimal indoor climate control. </li><li>Perform routine and preventative maintenance to extend the life of HVAC systems and reduce costly breakdowns. </li><li>Diagnose and troubleshoot issues quickly and effectively, minimizing downtime for staff and students. </li><li>Use specialized tools to test system performance and make precise energy efficiency and comfort adjustments. </li><li>Travel between campuses to identify and resolve system issues, making independent decisions on repair or replacement. </li><li>Keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs for compliance and planning purposes. </li><li>Support other general maintenance work as needed in collaboration with the facilities team. </li></ul> <p>What We're Looking For:</p> <ul> <li>Education Requirements: A high school diploma or equivalent, and a certification or degree from an accredited HVAC program. </li><li>Experience: At least four years of experience in HVAC or a related field. </li><li>Technical Skills: Proficiency in mechanical systems and equipment, along with the ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics. </li><li>Organizational Abilities: Strong time management, multitasking, and organizational skills to handle daily responsibilities across multiple campuses efficiently. </li><li>Attention to Detail: Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for accurately identifying and resolving technical issues. </li><li>Additional Requirements: A valid Utah driver's license and the ability to travel between campuses using reliable transportation.
