<p>Gel Coat Laboratory Technician</p> <p>Hickory, NC</p> <p>What you'll do as a Lab Technician:</p> <p>This position is responsible for completing project work assigned by senior staff. Frequently the technician will be asked to complete Lab Service Requests (LSR). The lab work consists of matching colors, preparing samples, testing materials, supporting customers, and participating in quality investigations. It requires a well-kept lab notebook, an up-to-date record of tasks and samples. A working knowledge of how to safely use of the laboratory instrumentation is required.</p> <p>What you can expect to do in your role:</p> <ul> <li>Perform tests and operate equipment in a safe and skillful manner. </li><li>Must be able to obtain raw data in a timely and efficient manner. </li><li>Maintain records of lab work and sample status. </li><li>Compliance with the safety rules & PPE requirements. </li></ul> <p>What we are looking for in a Lab Technician:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma, College degree is preferred </li><li>Maintain a clear and accurate lab notebook. </li><li>Store records in designated drives and software. </li><li>Proficiency in navigating the knowledge management system. </li><li>Proficiency in administrative tools such as project management software and company databases. </li><li>Basic formula creation and proficient formula entry in Optiva. </li><li>Core Skills: Matching gel coat colors using the X-Rite software.
