Their primary responsibilities are to preside over hearings to resolve complaints of sexual misconduct, discrimination, and harassment involving students, faculty, and staff at UNL; preside over prehearing conferences; draft and submit timely decision letters on behalf of the hearing board that resolve these complaints; and complete all associated preparation work and related tasks. Responsibilities also include participating in any training programs that may be required for individuals serving in the role of hearing chair, assisting with the training of hearing board members, and assisting with revisions and updates to University civil rights policies.
