<p>This position will oversee all aspects of the video needs of the Men's Basketball team while reporting directly to the Head Coach. The position will also provide administrative support to the program through the supervision of student managers, equipment procurement, and by monitoring the academic performance of student-athletes.</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <p>Coordinate Film Exchange:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Managing the collection of game footage of opponents on television, internet, and social media outlets.</p> </li><li> <p>Supervising the filming of team practices and competitions</p> </li><li> <p>Editing game and practice film to be used for player development</p> </li><li> <p>Collecting non-televised opponent games through film exchange</p> </li><li> <p>Limited on-court duties including keeping track of advanced-metric game stats used for team analysis.</p> </li><li> <p>Responsible for the organization, inventory, and purchasing of video equipment, software, and supplies.</p> </li></ol> <p>Perform Administrative Support for the Program:</p> <ul> <li>Assisting in arranging travel for road games including the preparation of rooming lists </li><li>Organizing team meals </li><li>Assists in organizing on-campus recruiting activities including creating a master prospective student athlete game schedule for assistant coaches and the creation of official visit itineraries for prospects. </li><li>Serve as basketball alumni liaison to assist the Pirate Blue Athletic Fund with alumni projects and fundraising initiatives </li><li>Monitoring game ticket distribution </li><li>Securing practice times/venues from home teams during road trips </li><li>Assisting the head coach with day-to-day tasks </li></ul> <p>Monitor Academic Progress:</p> <ul> <li>Coordinating one on one meetings with student-athletes, academic advisor </li><li>Observing tutoring/study hall sessions </li><li>Tracking class attendance </li></ul> <p>Oversee Student Managers:</p> <ul> <li>Conducting an interview process for potential student managers </li><li>Implementing daily practice duties and routines </li><li>Scheduling practice and game attendance </li><li>Ensuring proper academic standing and performance </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications:</p> <p>Bachelor's degree</p> <p>Desired Qualifications:</p> <p>1-3 years experience as a basketball player, coach, or manager with a Division I Basketball Program.
