<p>Job Details</p> <p>Req ID: 101719 Supported Practice: Heartland Dental Category: Accounting and Finance Location: 310 E 96th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46240 Salary: $95,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year</p> <p>Position Summary:</p> <p>Heartland Dental is the nation's largest dental support organization, providing non-clinical administrative support services to more than 3,000 supported doctors across 39 states and the District of Columbia in over 1,800 dental offices. Each Heartland Dental support office is unique to the community and the patients they serve. Supported doctors are the leaders of their practice and retain clinical autonomy. All Heartland Dental supported Doctors are united by a common goal: delivering the highest quality dental care and experiences to the communities they serve.</p> <p>As an Accounting Manager, your duties and responsibilities will include:</p> <ul> <li>Oversight of a team of individuals who ensure transactions are recorded in accordance with GAAP and applicable accounting policies. </li><li>Perform detailed reconciliations reviews for balance sheet accounts monthly </li><li>Responsible for ensuring the monthly close process is executed timely and all balance sheet reconciliations are completed accurately. </li><li>Ensure compensation expenditure reporting is accurate and distributed timely </li><li>Lead the coordination of accounting duties for captive insurance and benefit audits. </li><li>Respond to requests for audit items for the company's external financial audit. </li><li>Assist with monthly, quarterly and annual financial statement close reporting including preparation of footnotes with proper support </li><li>Management of process improvement initiatives </li><li>Build and maintain relationships with internal and external partners </li><li>Assist with system design and implementations when appropriate </li></ul> <p>Minimum Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to work onsite at least once a month and reside within driving distance of either Indianapolis, IN or Effingham, IL. </li></ul> <p>Bachelor's degree in accounting or other finance related degree required.</p> <ul> <li>5+ years of experience in an accounting or finance accounting role. </li><li>Ability to learn and master accounting concepts and in-depth understanding of US GAAP </li><li>Ability to maintain a monthly checklist of activities, complete tasks as necessary and ask questions when needed. </li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - ability to identify discrepancies, perform research therein, and work toward resolution. </li><li>Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint </li><li>Strong organizational and interpersonal skills </li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills. </li><li>Must be able to effectively handle multiple deliverables simultaneously in a deadline driven environment. </li></ul> <p>Desirable Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Degree in an accounting field </li><li>CPA designation </li><li>Advanced Microsoft Excel experience </li><li>Prior experience with compensation accounting and bonus programs </li><li>Prior experience performing monthly account reconciliations and journal entries </li><li>Prior supervisory experience </li></ul> <p>Apply</p> <p>Share This Page</p> <ul> <li>Share on Facebook </li><li>Share on Twitter </li><li>Share on LinkedIn </li><li>Share via Email </li></ul>
