<p>We are looking for a results-driven Manager of Process and Accounting to join our Finance team at a rapidly growing last mile delivery company. This role focuses on aligning business processes with accounting requirements through systems integration and technical accounting expertise. The ideal candidate is both tech-savvy and accounting-savvy, with a strong understanding of GAAP, ERP systems, and process optimization strategies. The position supports initiatives that ensure efficient workflows and accurate financial reporting across various operational and finance functions.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Serve as a key liaison between accounting, operations, and IT to ensure business process alignment with accounting standards and system capabilities. </li><li>Lead and support the implementation and integration of financial and operational software, including ERP and logistics platforms. </li><li>Design and map current and future business processes to optimize workflow and data integrity. </li><li>Develop and document accounting procedures and internal controls aligned with system capabilities. </li><li>Interpret and apply technical accounting guidance in accordance with US GAAP, including revenue recognition and lease accounting. </li><li>Evaluate compliance with GAAP. </li><li>Analyze financial data and provide insights for operational and strategic decision-making. </li><li>Analyze complex transactions and provide accounting recommendations and documentation. </li><li>Support month-end and year-end close processes with emphasis on system-generated entries and integrations. </li><li>Perform technical accounting research and prepare white papers and memos as needed. </li><li>Train and support end users on financial system functionalities and best practices. </li><li>Assist with internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations related to system implementations and accounting treatments. </li><li>Continuously evaluate system performance and propose enhancements to improve financial accuracy and reporting efficiency. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Education & Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Information Systems required. </li><li>CPA or equivalent certification strongly preferred. </li><li>5+ years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a role involving business systems or technical accounting. </li><li>Experience in the last mile delivery, transportation, or logistics sector is a plus. </li><li>Proven track record of participating in or leading ERP or financial systems implementations. </li></ul> <p>Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Strong understanding of US GAAP and technical accounting concepts. </li><li>Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, or similar. </li><li>Familiarity with data mapping, workflow design, and systems integration best practices. </li><li>Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. </li><li>Excellent communication and documentation skills. </li><li>Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Attributes</p> <ul> <li>Experience in cross-functional collaboration between finance, IT, and operations. </li><li>Background in both public accounting and industry roles. </li><li>Hands-on experience with API integrations and data automation tools. </li></ul>
