If you are ready to work in the fast-paced and high-energy setting of the Cavs, Monsters, Charge, Legion and Rocket Arena- then we want to talk to YOU!</p> <p>JOB SUMMARY:</p> <p>Under direction of the 'Community Impact Coordinator', the '2025 Summer Temporary Assistant, Social Impact & Equity' will play an integral role in all aspects of community impact and Cavaliers Community Foundation donations, events, programs, and initiatives throughout the June - August NBA offseason. The ideal candidate must be eager to learn, a team player, and have a passion for serving the community in just, equitable, meaningful and impactful ways. Our Summer Assistant program offers individuals a "hands-on" experience in several different business areas.</p> <p>This is a temporary position from June - August 2025, that will require working roughly 40 hours per week.</p> <p>Local candidates preferred. Relocation assistance is not offered for temporary positions.</p> <p>PAY RATE: $15.00/HR.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Manages communication to all Community Impact and Cavaliers Community Foundation mail, phone, and email inquiries. </li><li>Supports the in-kind donation program with guidance from the Community Impact Coordinator. </li><li>Participates in the activation of any Community Impact events, including assisting the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Team with various events. </li><li>Assists with the implementation of the team's community programs, initiatives, events, including the Team Member Volunteering Program (TMVP), and Foundation fundraising efforts, including preparing for the Wine & Gold Gala. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Currently attending (or recent graduate of) a 4-year Bachelor's Degree program, preferably with an emphasis in Sports Management, Business Administration, Sociology and Community Studies, etc. </li><li>Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends, evenings, holidays and events as assigned. </li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. </li><li>Must be organized, highly motivated, and team oriented. </li><li>Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. </li><li>Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. </li><li>Must have the ability to lift 25 - 50 lbs. </li></ul> <p>We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, gender identity, marital or veteran status, or any other protected class.</p>
