There is latitude to rearrange the sequence to complete task/duties based on changing work situations.</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Contribute to mechanical design projects and support development activities.</p> </li><li> <p>Utilize 3D design software to create detailed models and drawings.</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in innovation and continuous improvement initiatives in mechanical engineering design and processes.</p> </li><li> <p>Apply technical expertise in developing new products and product enhancements under guidance.</p> </li><li> <p>Support technical design reviews for concept solutions, detailed designs, and evaluation of results with cross-functional teams.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist in development activities at supplier sites, including tooling and manufacturing support.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform design integration, verification, validation, FMEA, reliability, manufacturability, and serviceability analysis/testing.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project outcomes.</p> </li><li> <p>Support project timelines and deliverables to ensure on-time completion.</p> </li><li> <p>Adhere to GEHC standards, industry standards, medical device safety, and regulatory requirements.</p> </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of related experience.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience in mechanical product design, electronics packaging design, and familiarity with plastic, metal, and injection molding parts design and manufacturing processes.</p> </li><li> <p>Proficiency with CAD software (Creo, SolidWorks); experience with Ansys for structural and thermal analysis is desirable.</p> </li><li> <p>Exposure to full product cycle from concept to production.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience in Verification and Validation testing of hardware products.</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge of reliability testing and Design for Reliability tools.</p> </li><li> <p>Exposure to the medical device industry.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong interpersonal and communication skills.</p> </li></ul> <p>Desired Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>MS with 4+ years of experience in the medical device field.</p> </li><li> <p>Familiarity with thermal and mechanical simulation.</p> </li><li> <p>Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt).</p> </li><li> <p>Exposure to Lean methodologies (5S, Kaizen).</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge of medical device standards like IEC60601-1.</p> </li><li> <p>Exposure to usability engineering.</p> </li></ul> <p>#LI-OH</p> <p>#LI-RV1</p> <p>We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.</p> <p>GE HealthCare offers a great work environment, professional development, challenging careers, and competitive compensation.
