Candidates should have considerable experience in most areas of maintenance and construction such as HVAC, electrical, welding, and plumbing.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Maintain, repair, inspect, install, and troubleshoot equipment and building systems. </li><li>Conduct preventative maintenance. </li><li>Ensure safety, functionality, code compliance and maintain aesthetic appeal. </li><li>Maintain a productive work environment by adhering to all company guidelines and OSHA safety requirements and through reporting violations of policies, procedures, and guidelines to immediate supervisor. </li><li>Engage in department processes designed to keep work flowing in a cost-effective manner. </li><li>Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management System/work order system (CMMS), using mobile phone, to perform work, record work history, identify parts usage, and identify warranties in a timely and effective manner. </li><li>Provide solutions when work volume is high, and staff is spread thin. </li><li>Sometimes assist with event setup for large private and public events, where heavy lifting, tools or heavy equipment are required. </li><li>Work safely and tell management about dirty or harmful working conditions and unsafe practices. </li><li>Report all work-related safety incidents, including near misses. </li><li>Professional and courteous at all times. </li><li>Communicate with management when tools and supplies are required for performing repairs when they are unavailable or broken. </li><li>Exemplify Thanksgiving Point's Mission, Values and Policies. </li><li>Other duties as assigned by manager/supervisor. </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Experience with and ability to use a large variety of power tools and hand tools. </li><li>7-10 years' experience in maintenance/construction. </li><li>2-3 years' experience in managerial roles. </li><li>Critical-thinker, independent worker, problem-solver, and ability to follow instructions. </li><li>A strong desire and willingness to learn and work well with others. </li><li>Exceptional guest service skills, professionalism, and work ethic. </li><li>Organized- able to prioritize work orders, manage time effectively and manage inventory of tools and materials. </li><li>Able to correctly source compatible parts and materials. </li><li>Physical ability to lift 50 lbs., bend, climb, and stand for long amounts of time. </li><li>Maintain clean, professional image, communication and demeanor at all times in work interactions, whether with co-workers, internal customers or patrons. </li><li>High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. </li><li>Trade school and/or apprenticeship preferred. </li><li>Must hold a valid driver's license with a clean driving record. </li><li>Be at least 16 years old. </li><li>Must pass a background check. </li></ul> <p>EOE Statement We are an equal employment opportunity employer.
