<p>Overview</p> <p>Why We Need Your Talents</p> <p>The Banquets General Manager is responsible for ensuring that large party dinners and functions are executed in the most efficient and customer-pleasing way possible. The General Manager generally supervises every aspect of execution of a banquet, from setup and breakdown to the actual service, along with scheduling, training and hiring personnel.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Core Service Standards</p> <p>CLEAN: Must make the property shine and look impeccable while maintaining a neat CLEAN and crisp personal appearance.</p> <p>SAFE: Must make guests feel SAFE and comfortable through creating a worry free, carefree experience.</p> <p>Fast: Provide FAST and efficient service with accuracy. Meet service time requirements and anticipate guest needs.</p> <p>FRIENDLY: Greet each guest with FRIENDLY welcomes, making eye contact and smiling. Use H.E.A.R.T. steps to ease guest concerns. Say thank you to departing guests.</p> <p>FUN: Work passionately as a team to create a FUN experience both for everyone who works and plays here.</p> <p>Where You'll Make an Impact</p> <ul> <li>Ensures smooth and efficient functioning of the Banquet Department on a daily basis. </li><li>Responsible for the timely, precise and expert execution of all banquet functions. </li><li>Ability to meet the demand of clients' events to include presence at numerous food and beverage functions throughout the day. </li><li>Plan and execute all groups from a conference management standpoint, including banquet event orders, group resumes and meeting room setups. </li><li>Assumes responsibility for all equipment, inventories, supplies, furniture and fixtures assigned to the Banquet Department. Ensure that cleaning is scheduled for all banquet equipment during slow times. </li><li>Provides leadership, direction, training and support for the team members and leaders in the department. </li><li>Responsible for recruitment and training of new employees and maintains appropriate staffing levels at all times by liaising with the Recruiting Department. </li><li>Ensure cost effective scheduling of the Banquet Leadership team, Captains, Banquet Servers, Bartenders and House persons to minimize productivity to forecast and budget. </li><li>Assists with establishing good relationships with other departments and outside vendors. </li><li>Attends all financial meetings and is responsible for all P&L statements and goals </li><li>All other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Skills You'll Need to Succeed</p> <ul> <li>Ability to analyze and interpret restaurant operation results. </li><li>Ability to solve complex problems. </li><li>Ability to perform assigned duties under pressures. </li><li>Knowledge of sanitation laws and health regulations and applicable OSHA regulation. </li><li>A variety of task and deadlines requires irregular work schedule. </li><li>Ability to perform assigned duties in an interruptive environment. </li><li>Accuracy in completing assigned duties in a timely manner. </li></ul> <p>A Few Must Haves</p> <ul> <li>Preferred, five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in Banquet management and supervision in a fine dining facility. </li><li>Preferred, four (4)-year degree in related fields or equivalent work experience. </li><li>Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license as determined by the State and Gaming Commission for the position. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Ability to work long hours. </li><li>Ability to stand for long periods of times without sitting or leaning. </li><li>Ability to climb stairs multiple times daily. </li><li>Ability to handle multi-tasking-heavy work-exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and up to 30 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. </li><li>Ability to climb, bend, stretch, twist or reach with your body and arms. </li><li>Ability to work under variable temperatures and noise levels. </li></ul> <p>Life at Live!</p> <ul> <li>24/7 high energy casino </li><li>Exposed to alcohol, cigarette and cigar smoke, bright lights, and loud noises. </li><li>You will work in an environment where smoking is allowed. </li></ul>
