<p>About the Job</p> <p>This is an academic temp/casual position, based on 25% time load for approximately 4 months in length. Appointment dates will be approximately September 2, 2025 - January 7, 2026.</p> <p>The duties of the position include assisting during active learning activities during class sessions and otherwise participating in in-class instruction; assistance with instructional activities on field trips; holding office hours and review sessions to support student learning; grading of student work and record-keeping of student grades; attend course staff meetings; responding to questions received electronically, such as through email and Canvas; and performing occasional other tasks such as helping maintain the course website.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Required Qualifications*</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in a related filed and previous tutoring or TA experience as well as general work experience and knowledge of ecology of managed ecosystems are considered in the selection process. </li><li>Need to be able to speak clearly, explain science concepts well, write well, relate to students, faculty, and staff. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Previous TA or teaching experience. </li><li>Note: The Department of Agronomy and Plant Genetics greatly values diversity, equity, accessibility, and inclusion, and recognizes that these are important factors in supporting student success.
