<p>SALARY</p> <p>Commensurate with certification and experience based on the Wicomico County Salary Scale for Administrators and Supervisors. Includes employee benefits package</p> <p>Hours</p> <p>12 months, 260 days</p> <p>Contract Unit: This position is part of the Unit II bargaining unit for Administrators and Supervisors</p> <p>FLSA: Exempt</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Eligibility for Maryland teaching certificate with Administrator I endorsement.</p> <p>Ability to organize, delegate, and supervise.</p> <p>Five (5) years successful classroom experience preferred.</p> <p>Knowledge of the Maryland Professional Standards for Educational Leaders.</p> <p>Knowledge of the Maryland College and Career Ready Standards and effective instructional strategies.</p> <p>Experience in the Teacher Evaluation Process.</p> <p>Knowledge of the requirements of the Maryland Comprehensive Assessment Program.</p> <p>Knowledge of the Maryland Graduation Requirements.</p> <p>Ability to ensure teachers' utilization of professional development opportunities by effectively demonstrating strategies and techniques conducive to optimal student performance.</p> <p>Excellent oral and written communication skills.</p> <p>Demonstrated leadership skills and personal qualifications necessary to work successfully with students, teachers, administrators, parents, and the community.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Under the direction of the building principal, shares responsibility for the supervision of the instructional staff and program as well as the administrative duties necessary for the operation of a secondary school, including those duties presented outside the hours of standard school day.</p> <p>Under the direction of the building principal, shares in the leadership of the drafting, designing, implementation and updating of the comprehensive School Improvement Plan that will provide students, parents and staff members the expectations and guidance to ensure the opportunities for success of all students assigned to the school.</p> <p>Under the direction of the building principal, shares responsibility for the academic, discipline, and attendance success of all students enrolled in the respective secondary school.</p> <p>Under the direction of the building principal, shares a collaborative responsibility for the supervision of building service and food service staff with respective central office departments servicing the school site.</p>
