<p>General Function</p> <p>The Product Analyst I [PA I], is a member of Information Technology Services [ITS] and reports to the Director of Product Management. The Product Management team helps ensure that the organization's product systems are effectively managed and aligned with the organization's goals and objectives. This involves a combination of strategic planning, coordination, and technical expertise.</p> <p>The Product Analyst I is an entry-level position on the Product Management team and in this role, you will serve as a critical team member, collaborating cross-functionally with the Director of Product Management, other Information Technology Services team members, vendors, and other college stakeholders.</p> <p>This position will create a safe and inclusive working environment with respect for a diversity of backgrounds and ableness.</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Developing and maintaining documentation related to product management processes and procedures, including version history, release notes, and support information. </li><li>Coordinate the planning of software releases, upgrades and patches to validate that they are production-ready, providing documentation to end users or support team members. </li><li>Work closely with the IT Service Desk to troubleshoot production software-related incidents and problems to resolution, assisting with the creation of after-action reports when necessary. </li><li>Document application issues within the problem management system with clear, concise, and accurate information; manage and track issue to resolution; communicate resolution to appropriate personnel. </li><li>Collaborate with service delivery team to understand business needs, capture requirements, and ensure alignment with organizational goals. </li><li>Analyze market trends, customer feedback, and competitive landscape to inform product roadmaps. </li><li>Define and monitor key product metrics, using data-driven insights to optimize performance. </li><li>Conduct user research and usability testing to enhance product features and functionality. </li><li>Assist in prioritizing features based on impact, feasibility, and alignment with business objectives. </li><li>Provide guidance and support to users and stakeholders on the use and management of software applications and services. </li><li>Provide support of existing jobs and services. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Requirements and Preferred Qualifications</p> <p>Minimum Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Associate Degree in Computer Programming, Computer Science or related field. </li><li>A combination of relevant college-level coursework, professional programming experience, or professional certifications may substitute for the degree requirement. </li><li>In the absence of formal education, an equivalent of 5-7 years' experience is commonly acceptable. </li><li>ITIL Foundation certification is required (or should be obtained within 9 months of appointment.) </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a similar field. </li><li>Credentials or demonstrated experience and/or training within the platforms the team manages, i.e., Microsoft/Office365, Ellucian Colleague/Banner, Perceptive Content, etc. </li></ul> <p>Additional Information</p> <p>Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Worker Characteristics:</p> <ul> <li>Evaluate business requests to determine feasibility, identify options, and recommend solutions for software development, enhancements, or new purchases. </li><li>Be detail-oriented, technically curious, and efficiency-driven. </li><li>Ability to analyze complex business problems and translate them into clear technical requirements. </li><li>Strong interpersonal skills, as well as communication skills (both written and oral). </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions:</p> <ul> <li>Typical office environment </li></ul>
