<p>This position with NCDOT offers full State Benefits , competitive salaries and many career development opportunities.  </p> <p>This position is exempt policy-making.</p> <p>This is a repost.   Previous applicants must reapply to be considered.</p> <p>The NCDMV is seeking to hire an individual as the North Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles Deputy Commissioner of Modernization.    </p> <p>The Deputy Commissioner for Modernization will act as an advisor to the NCDMV Commissioner to drive the agency's operational and technology modernization agenda to improve customer service, expand digital service delivery, and ensure efficient and secure DMV operations.</p> <p>The person selected for this position will lead cross-functional teams in developing and implementing innovative business processes and digital solutions. Key responsibilities will include developing long term goals and strategies and identifying and solving challenges to reaching these goals.   </p> <p>Additional duties will include ensuring clear and consistent communication throughout NCDMV on strategic planning and modernization activities.  Building strong stakeholder relationships is important for the success of this position.  Position must exercise problem solving skills and foster a collaborative atmosphere for internal and external stakeholders, including state and federal partners, vendors, and the public.  </p> <p>Management prefers applicants that demonstrate the following:</p> <ul> <li>Experience leading organizational change initiatives </li><li>Working knowledge of strategic planning implementation </li><li>Experience identifying opportunities for process improvement </li><li>Demonstrated ability to use problem solving skills to manage a diverse organization </li><li>Experience composing and presenting information to diverse audiences </li></ul> <p>Some state job postings say you can qualify by an "equivalent combination of education and experience."
