<p>Long Description</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Reads, interprets and follows blueprints, sketches, and product/engineering specifications </li><li>Set up and and operate CNC OD and ID grind equipment with minimal supervision on a Studer grinding machine. </li><li>Make adjustments as required to maintain print specifications </li><li>Grind of spline shafts and aircraft gears holding tolerances of .0001" - .0005" </li><li>Maintain proper documentation of SPC data and participate in certified operator program. </li><li>Inspect faces and diameters using micrometers, gages and amps </li><li>Perform in-process and last piece inspection using micrometers, calipers, comparators, various gauges. </li><li>Perform operator maintenance. </li><li>Perform the required measurements to assure product quality </li><li>Notify your Leader of all nonconforming product </li><li>Other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Mechanical aptitude a plus </li><li>Working knowledge of Inspection Devices and Instruments </li><li>Ability to translate prints along with understanding of GD&T </li><li>Experience using Studer OD Grinder, FANUC controls using G code </li><li>Blueprint reading skills </li><li>Shop math skills </li><li>Proficiency in the use of a wide variety of precision measuring tools are required. </li><li>Ability to utilize visual comparator and Precision Gear Check Equipment </li></ul>
