<p>Position Summary</p> <p>These positions serve as technical resource coordinators on all grant eligibility criteria, project scope analysis, funding determinations, and awarding procedures for processing grant agreements and grant financial records management. These positions will establish and review conditions for the grant contracts with grantees, will conduct reviews and analyses of financial statements to ensure compliance with funding requirements. The positions will be the lead in dealing with grantor agencies and industry stakeholders to ensure all grant processes are completed. The positions will perform specific monitoring of grant expenditures, project scope, and grant objectives to ensure full utilization and compliance with the grant award.</p> <p>These positions will also be the division points of contact for grants and will work extensively with the department's Bureau of Finance staff, division finance staff, department legal staff, and various other Division of Agricultural Development staff. This will require working closely with staff and industry stakeholders to ensure compliance with grant application requirements. The positions will conduct on-site evaluations, assist in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the program and associated policies and procedures. These positions will train staff and awardees on grant procedures from grant application to closure of the grant. This includes but is not limited to review, processing, contracting, and approval of grant expenditures. The positions will also present to outside stakeholders, internal staff, and to the DATCP Secretary's Office regarding the available grants offered by the Division along with the importance of and invaluable resources for the state's agribusiness industries.</p> <p>55% - Administer and manage various grant programs.</p> <p>30% - Develop, manage and deliver measurement, compliance, and reporting processes for various grant programs. This includes but is not limited to: reimbursement requests, final reports, including executive summaries and comprehensive reporting on results, return on investment, and economic development and impact reports.</p> <p>15% - Administer and manage grant program development, promotion, and facilitate participant recruitment in conjunction with the DAD staff and external stakeholders responsible for program and project execution.</p> <p>Salary Information</p> <p>This classification of this position is Grants Specialist which is in schedule/ range 07-04</p> <p>Pay will be $27.00 - $31.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.</p> <p>For current and eligible former State employees, compensation will be set in accordance with the State Compensation Plan effective at the time of hire.</p> <p>Job Details</p> <p>At DATCP, we strive to deliver efficient and effective programs and services to Wisconsin agriculture, consumers, and businesses. The Department has numerous on-the-job training (OJT) opportunities, unique to each Bureau.</p> <p>These OJT opportunities include direct experience and practice through collaboration with co-workers/supervisor, peer mentoring, and job-specific training modules.</p> <p>Conditions of Employment:</p> <p>DATCP does not sponsor work visas. Any appointment made will be contingent on the selected applicant being able to provide documentation of eligibility to work in the United States.</p> <p>A criminal background check will be performed on the selected applicant prior to an offer of employment.</p> <p>Applicant must be a resident of Wisconsin (18 years of age or older).</p> <p>Limited term positions are not civil service classified positions, do not have rights to permanent civil service classified positions, and do not lead to permanent status.</p> <p>This position is Limited Term Employment (LTE) and is limited to 1,039 hours in 26 consecutive pay periods (1 year)</p> <p>Possession of a valid driver's license or the ability to provide one's own transportation for work purposes, is required.</p> <p>Travel is required for approximately 10% of this position's duties.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Minimally qualified candidates will have each of the following:</p> <p>Experience with administrating grants, in a professional setting (public and/or private sector), including fiscal tracking and audit functions.</p> <p>Experience working with Microsoft Office suite or similar customer relationship management tools (i.e., data management and analysis, report creation including tables and charts, etc.).</p> <p>Experience performing financial record-keeping (i.e., managing payments, invoicing, processing reimbursements, etc.)</p> <p>In addition to the minimum qualifications above, highly qualified candidates will have one or more of the following:</p> <p>Experience administering grant funding from a variety of funding sources (i.e., federal, state, private.)</p> <p>Experience extracting and analyzing data (i.e., use of pivot tables, advanced formulas, etc.)</p> <p>Experience presenting and/or discussing financial information for grants, programs or projects such as trainings, workshops, webinars, partner meetings, and public meetings.</p> <p>How To Apply</p> <p>If viewing this posting on an external site (such as indeed.com, etc.), please visit Wisc.Jobs and search for this Job ID: 20756 to complete your application for this posting.</p> <p>DATCP is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer.
